Spotlight on south west Wales

Monday, July 1, 2019

South west Wales stretches from Neath Port Talbot to Pembrokeshire. Key locations include Swansea, the Gower, the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. The area includes some of Wales' finest scenery and beaches.

Growing areas of high-level employment are in areas such as:

  • Life Science and Well-being,
  • Energy, and
  • Smart Manufacturing.

The population of the area is about 700,000, of which 300,000 are in employment, a third of those are in Swansea.

35.8% per cent hold qualifications at level 4 (degree level) or above. There are about 30,000 students studying at Swansea University and University of Wales, Trinity Saint David.

Take a look at the graduate jobs we have in south west Wales.
